Review Datema participation SMM 2010
With over 50.000 visitors from all over the world the SMM 2010 has clearly demonstrated its prominent role as being the leading International Maritime Trade Fair today. We are therefore extremely proud that we have again been able to successfully present and position ourselves and our innovative nautical services amid more international known players such as the UKHO, Kelvin Hughes and Transas.
It was not so long ago that Datema was predominately known in Holland and it’s surrounding countries, but since the launch of our ENC-Online service (2007) and our revolutionary and award winning ENCTrack service (www.enctrack.com) at Nor Shipping in 2009, Datema has grown to become a recognized and respected international player in the field of navigational data solutions and safety services and products.
Our participation at the SMM 2010 in Hall B6 can only be described as very successful. We have met many of our existing national- and international customers, and established many new promising contacts with ship owners and shipyards from across the globe.
We were very impressed by the overall interest for both our company, services and our products. During SMM in Hamburg, Datema received the order for the supply of the fire protection and life saving appliances and fixed fire-fighting systems for 2 new build vessels and 4 options to be built at Lilama Haiphong Factory (Lisemco) in Haiphong, Vietnam. The yard numbers LL014 and LL015 are the 7th respectively 8th 3.300 DWT Multi purpose vessels in a series being built for Briese Schiffahrt GmbH and Briese Netherlands BV. The vessels are to be delivered in 2011 and 2012.
It’s good to feel that our innovative approaches are really setting new standards and we are happy to experience the positive atmosphere and upward trend from across the industry.
We have furthermore used the SMM to officially present our new Professional Datema Catalogue to the international public. We have received nothing but positive response.
